About Newquay
Situated in the South-West of England, Newquay is one of the UK's top holiday resorts. Cornwall lies in the Gulf Stream which flows up from the Caribbean and gives a mild climate, throughout the year. The surrounding Atlantic coastline is rugged, wave beaten, and provides some spectacular scenery.
Formerly a busy port which provided transport for the county’s tin industry, Newquay has developed into a buzzing, cosmopolitan tourist resort. In recent years the popularity of Newquay has grown tremendously not only because of the natural beauty of the surrounding area, but also because of the central location and attractions it has to offer.
There is plenty to do locally
Spend all day lying on one of Newquay's golden beaches or take to the cliff tops and walk the coastal footpaths all of which have splendid scenery and views.
Nearby are the beautiful Trenance Gardens with tennis courts, bowling green and boating lake. A short walk away from here you will find Newquay Zoo and Waterworld.
It's not just sunbathing available here. Visit Fistral beach, Newquay's premier surfing spot and catch some waves on a surf board or body board. Lessons available for all levels and equipment hire for those who go it on their own.
Something more relaxing in mind? Play golf , Deep sea fishing trips from the harbour, or wander round the bustling town centre.
There are plenty of family days out on offer to suit families and couples a like: Bluereef Aquarium , Dairyland , Oasis fun pools , Crealy Adventure Park or Newquay Zoo .
When the sun goes down why not try one of Newquays many restaurants or bars, try Senior Dicks , or Jamie Oliver' s Fifteen (Watergate Bay). If you're feeling energetic stay out all night at Berties or the famous Sailors nightclub.
